At Crum Canoe Candle Co., we strive to provide our customers with high-quality products and a satisfying shopping experience. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we are here to assist with any concerns regarding your purchase. Please review our refund and return policy below:
Defective Products
If you receive a defective product, we will gladly replace it or issue a refund. Please contact our customer service team within 30 days of receiving your order to arrange for a return or exchange. We will cover the cost of return shipping for defective items.
By federal law, a defective candlewax product is one that fails to meet reasonable safety expectations and poses risks to users. This can include errors in the production process that make the candle unsafe, inherent flaws in the candle's design that make it dangerous, lack of proper safety warnings or instructions that could lead to unsafe use of the product.
Cancellations and Returns
Cooling-Off Rule: In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s Cooling-Off Rule, you have the right to cancel certain purchases made at your home, workplace, or temporary location within three business days. This applies to orders of $25 or more. To cancel your order under this rule, please email sales@crumcanoecandleco.com within the specified timeframe.
General Returns: We do not accept returns for non-defective products unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase. If an exception is made, the product must be unused, in its original packaging, and returned within 14 days of purchase. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. There will be a 25% restocking fee due to the fact that once our items leave our possession, their quality can be compromised, and secondhand items decrease resell value.
Refund Process
Once we receive your returned item and it has been inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.
Non-Returnable Items
For safety and hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns on:
- Used or partially used items.
- Custom or personalized products
- Items marked as final sale
Damaged Products
If your order arrives damaged, please email sales@crumcanoecandleco.com within 48 hours of delivery. Provide a photo of the damaged product and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or refund for the damaged items.
How to Return
To return a product, please follow these steps:
- Email sales@crumcanoecandleco.com to request a return authorization.
- Pack the product securely in its original packaging.
- Include a copy of the original invoice and the reason for the return.

Missing Products
If any items are missing from your order, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of receiving your shipment. Provide your order number and details of the missing item(s). We will verify the issue and promptly send the missing product(s) at no additional cost to you.
Incorrect Products
If you receive an incorrect product, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of receiving your shipment. Provide your order number and details of the incorrect item(s). We will arrange for the correct product(s) to be sent to you at no additional cost. We may also request that you return the incorrect product, and we will cover the return shipping costs.

Each item is uniquely hand crafted and may change slightly from the photo listed. That means your candle is truly one-of-a-kind that is handcrafted specifically just for you. We will do our best to match your candle exactly to the one pictured. Changes may be but are not limited to decor toppings, patterns and color due to the nature of soy wax. Color frosting is a natural and unique characteristic of soy wax due to its natural recrystallization process. Some may consider this a cosmetic flaw, but it is a true indication that you are using a 100% all-natural soy wax. Color blending when using multiple colors is expected during shipment
