At Crum Canoe Candle Co., we prioritize your safety and well-being. That's why we use only natural cotton wicks that are free of lead and any other toxins. Our commitment to quality ensures that our candles burn cleanly, providing you with a safe and enjoyable experience every time.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY SOY WAX WICK?

  • Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn.
  • Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface for each burn to prevent tunneling.
  • Keep the candle away from drafts and flammable objects.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

WHAT MAKES YOUR FRAGRANCES NON-TOXIC?
We use a blend of natural and high-quality synthetic fragrances and essential oils to ensure a strong and long-lasting scent. All our fragrances are phthalate-free and are approved safe and non-toxic for candle use by the IFRA (International Fragrance Association). IFRA is the gold standard for fragrance safety. 


WHAT DOES PHTHALATE-FREE MEAN?

HOW LONG DO SOY CANDLES TYPICALLY BURN?
Soy wax candles generally burn 30-50% longer than other candles. The exact burn time can vary depending on the size of the candle and how it is cared for. Larger candles with more wax will naturally burn longer than smaller ones. For example, a small 4-ounce soy candle may burn for 20-30 hours, whereas a larger 16-ounce candle might burn for 70-90 hours.


HOW SHOULD I STORE MY SOY WAX PRODUCTS?

  • Cool and Dry Place: Store your soy wax candles and products in a cool, dry place. Avoid areas with high humidity or direct sunlight, as heat and moisture can affect the wax and scent.
  • Stable Temperature: Keep the storage area at a consistent, stable temperature. Avoid extreme temperature fluctuations, which can cause the wax to melt or harden unpredictably.
  • Away from Direct Sunlight: Direct sunlight can cause the color of the wax to fade and may also impact the fragrance. Store your products in a shaded area or a cupboard.
  • Sealed Containers: If possible, store your candles in their original packaging or in airtight containers to prevent dust and debris from accumulating on the wax. This also helps to preserve the fragrance.
  • Avoid Strong Odors: Keep your soy wax items away from strong-smelling substances, as they can absorb odors over time, which may alter the intended scent of your candles.
